What I know about my 4 month old

So I am totally stealing this idea from a few of my friends that have also recently had babies but it is such a good idea! It's taken me a little while to get it together but better late than never. So I have to say I love being a mommy! It is the best job in the whole world and I am so grateful I can stay home and be with Ainslee. So here I go...

1. Ainslee loves to be swaddled. She gets sleepy and fussy and we lay her down and start swaddling her and she gives us a big cheesy smile :)
2. When she gets tired she rubs her eyes and it is super cute!
3. She loves bath time, loves it.
4. We started feeding her some rice cereal last week before bed. She gets so excited when she sees the bowl. She kicks her feet and opens her mouth like a little bird lol it's adorable.
5. Ainslee is sleeping through the night! Well most nights. She sleeps from 9 to about 5:30 or 6 in the morning. I can't say how excited I am for her to be sleeping so well, and I am hoping this will last.
6. She is a chunk. We went to the doctor yesterday and she is 16 lbs 10 oz and 26 inches long, 95th percentile for both.
7. She is just generally happy, she is always smiling.
8. Ainslee is starting to be mobile. She can get onto her side but then gets stuck, when she's on her stomach she wiggles and gets turned around. I don't know that I'm ready for her to be moving just yet but I guess I don't have any choice :)
9. She loves her momma. I seriously can't be out of her eye sight without her making some sort of noise to let me know she wants me. It makes things a little difficult, but oh well.
10. Last one, she loves her daddy. She gets so excited when he gets home, she kicks her feet and tries to get to him until he pays attention to her. I love it and think it is the cutest thing ever.

This picture is a little old but still cute :)
Those are some of the big things that are important right now. She is just the cutest little thing and I can't get enough of her! I am so happy that I can be home with her and see her grow and change. I can't believe how much she has changed in 4 months. I also can't believe it has only been 4 months it feels like she has been with me forever, I can't imagine not having her. Here are some cute pictures that we have taken lately :)

We call these her crazy eyes, and I'm sure you can see why....she slipped down under the Boppy and was stuck there lol it was super funny.

Free Fishing Day

I have been a slacker at updating my blog and I have lots of things to put on here but for now I will just post about our latest adventure.

Last Saturday was free fishing day up here in Idaho so we decided to go up to Henry's Lake and see if we could catch a fish or two. We went there two years ago and didn't even get a bite so this time we went to a different spot hoping for better results but no such luck. In the words of Anthony we got skunked :) We had a really fun day as a family though and so it was all worth it. Anthony did catch a fish later in the day in a stream around Island Park. It was some kind of sucker fish though lol so he threw it back. We also made a stop at Mesa Falls which was so cool. It is a beautiful waterfall. I didn't get any pictures of it though because we just used the video camera, but it was really cool. Ainslee enjoyed hanging out at the lake, she didn't get to see her daddy actually catch the fish because the mosquitos were horrible! They ate me up in the two seconds I was out of the car of course but she didn't get any bites luckily. When we were at the falls she had just woken up so she was sleepy and not really noticing anything around :) It was a really fun day. I was worried that once we had Ainslee we would stop doing fun things (kind of a stupid fear I know) but I'm glad to say we still get to do lots of fun things now we just have another person to share them with :)

Newborn Pictures

We finally got Ainslee's newborn pictures back. The lady that took them ended up having her baby 2 weeks early so she wasn't really in a position to work on them and I couldn't really blame her. Here are some of our favorites though.

I think this one is my absolute favorite, it's just such a good one of her face

She had had enough by this point and so she was crying and moving a lot so her little bow got a little off whack but she's still pretty cute :)

So those are the ones we really like I was surprised how many good ones we actually got because she was crying most of the time, the only outfit she wasn't crying at all in was the leopard one. I think that is because the blanket felt so funny on her face lol. Over all some pretty cute pictures, but I can't believe how much she had changed in the short time it has been since we had these done. We love her so much!

A Little Update

I don't really have much to blog about besides the fact that Ainslee is growing up way too fast! She's 6 1/2 weeks old now and her little personality is starting to come out. She loves her swing, taking baths, having her head rubbed, and her daddy. She smiles more at him than at me, and she looks right at him and just jabbers up a storm.

She is starting to smile more and be more vocal. It is so cute when she is cooing and making noises she is just discovering what her voice can do. Saturday we went on our first day trip to Idaho Falls. We were shopping in Wal-Mart and she was hungry so we gave her a bottle. Anthony put her up on his shoulder to burp her and her eyes got huge and for like 5 minutes all she wanted to do was look around :) she completely forgot about eating it was so cute. She did great though we were nervous that she would cry the whole time, but she didn't. We went during her nap time and so she basically slept in the car seat for most of the time. She woke up after we ate though and so I changed my first diaper in the car...not as hard as I thought it would be but she is still pretty little lol. Then we fed her, she was a little fussy on the way home but over all she was a very good little girl.

We're getting into a schedule which is so wonderful for my sanity. I am so organized and love to have a schedule I thought I was going to go crazy, but we are getting there. We have fairly regular nap times figured out, a bed time and a good little bed time routine, and she has more time now that she is awake and can play. She surprisingly likes tummy time, she is a strong little girl and can hold her head up for a minute or two.

There are just about 3 more weeks in the semester and we are so excited for it to be over. I may be more excited than Anthony lol because we get to go home! I know that both our families are so excited for us to come (mostly to see little miss Ainslee) and we can't wait. She'll finally get to meet Aunt Holly, Uncle Vern, and her cousins so that will be awesome :)

Her little cheeks have gotten so chubby since this picture

She likes the bouncer some days

Cute bow for St. Patrick's day, it was a little big but green so we went with it :)

Smiling at daddy

I love this one!

We took her to church for the first time last Sunday and she did so good. She ate a little and then took a nap.

This is right before we left for Idaho Falls :)
