So some things that are going on with Ainslee at this point in her life are:
1. She now has 4 teeth, two on top and two on bottom. This means she loves to bite just about anything she can get to. Some of her favorites are my knee, her fingers, and the tv stand.
2. Her balance is getting so good. She can stand alone without any support for maybe 20 seconds then she slowly sits down. I think she will be walking pretty soon.
3. She loves Mickey Mouse. Sometimes I will turn on the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the Disney channel and she goes crazy. Screaming and bouncing up and down, she loves it.
4. She can wave to people now, and she will most of the time. Sometimes she does it with both hands, but she is getting better at waving with only one.
5. She loves music. Still anytime she hears music she gets a huge smile and now she is starting to dance. She bounces up and down on her bottom if she's sitting and if she's standing she bends her knees and bounces that way.
6. She is talking more and more. She says Dada and Mama, I think she knows what she is saying because she says Mama when she's home with just me, but when Anthony comes in as soon as she sees him she starts saying Dada. I don't know maybe I am overestimating her abilities but either way it is super cute.
7. This girl loves her dad! She really loves when he comes home and plays with her, and the other day when he left for school she actually cried.
8. She is really good at clicking her tongue, and smacking her lips. If we do it first she will do it back to us and smile. She also does it on her own though throughout the day.
9. So this is kind of pathetic but just the other day she took her first bath in our tub here at home. She has used the tub at both grandma's houses but our sink is so big I have just been using that. The reason I decided to switch was she is starting to splash. She splashes like crazy which I don't mind, but she was getting the kitchen floor all wet and it was getting to be a lot of work for me to clean it up, so I broke down and finally put her in the tub. At first she was pretty nervous about it. She was crying and made sure she told me how unhappy she was about it lol. But it's been three days and she is already getting used to it. Last night she didn't even make a peep when I used the hose to wash her hair.
10. We have a little lamb stuffed animal and I think that is quite possibly her favorite toy. Her favorite food as far as I can tell is sweet potatoes. Something else she loves is water. She drinks it like crazy and now that she has figured out how to use her sippy cup she really drink it fast. She is getting really good at using her thumb and pointer finger (the pincer grasp....the Early childhood teacher in me cannot keep from saying that haha) to grab the tiniest things. That is great for feeding herself at meal times, but terrible when I go a day or two without vacuuming.
11. Her naps are getting a little better. She usually takes 45 minute ones now with an hour and a half one maybe two days a week. Bad news is that she is up almost every two hours at night now. I am hoping that it was just her teeth coming in because she was miserable pretty much all the time with them. The second one on the top finally came through yesterday and today so hopefully night time sleep will be getting better soon because I am getting to be pretty cranky.
Dad tossing her in the air
Some crazy faces
One of her favorite things to chew on, and empty lotion bottle
She's a little blurry but still cute
She loves feeding herself, she's got a arrowroot cookie here
And sometimes she finds ones she drops on the floor and mom has forgotten to pick up...what a treat!
Playing with her refrigerator magnets
She caught me taking her picture and I know she's thinking "Really mom, more pictures?"
Being cute in her high chair :)
She has tons of fun playing in the dishwasher
And Dad even let her see in the fridge
Using my legs to pull up
We fed her some spaghetti and she thought it was the best thing!
