Catch Up

Ok so I haven't been on here for several months now which makes me a little sad, but I am going to try and do better. Last time I wrote was when Ainslee was 9 months old I think. A lot has happened since then, she started walking (November 16th), and talking more. She had her fist Thanksgiving and Christmas. Anthony graduated from BYU-I...yay! We moved from Rexburg back to Green River. The move has been kind of an adjustment but it is really nice to be close to family again. We love that Ainslee is getting to know her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She loves it too. Ainslee turned 1 just last week. I can't believe how fast the last year has went. I really never imagined life after she was 6 months old because I thought that would take forever but it went too fast. She's turning into a toddler on me. We have some tantrums and screaming. Most of the screaming is just to hear herself lol she loves to see how loud she can be.

 A cutie ready for bed
Had to get another picture with the giant jackalope
Playing in the same park that her daddy did when he was little
Playing at Grandma and Grandpa's house in Casper over Thanksgiving
She is such a goof ball
 Ainslee's First Thanksgiving
She was really loving it as you can see
Anthony had a birthday while we were in Casper
Ainslee really liked ripping the wrapping paper into tiny pieces
The power went out in Rexburg for an entire day so we had to get all bundled up.
She loves her stuffed animals, she is always trying to carry them with her. She is getting a little better at it now.
Ready to play in the snow
Dad let her try some whip cream from the can. It doesn't look like it but she loved having it sprayed into her mouth.
She is a very happy, very silly little girl
Brushing her hair just like mom
Anthony graduated...everyone was so proud of him
She got to open her Christmas dress on Christmas Eve.
On Christmas day she didn't really know what was going on but after it was over she really liked playing with her toys.
Grandma, Jenassa, and Aubrey opening presents
All 3 of the girls in their pretty Christmas dresses

We are living with my family right now and so we had to build a wall to create Ainslee's room. Here is the somewhat finished product. I love the red wall it is so pretty.
Eating an apple with Grandpa. She loves apples, especially green apples!
Ainslee is a wiggle worm and so I end up with a lot of blurry pictures. This one would have been perfect if she hadn't moved.
My little baby is a year old...what!? Her hair is getting long enough for pig tails, and pony tails. They look sooo cute, but she doesn't leave them in for long. This picture was on her birthday. It's hard to believe that it was a whole year ago that we met her. We feel like she's been with us forever and it's hard to think back to a time when we didn't know what she would look like or act like. We sure do love our little Ainslee and are so grateful for the happy little blessing she is.

6 and 7 months old

Yet another post that never actually got published lol I am horrible!

So I am kinda a bad blogger in that I missed writing down what I knew about Ainslee when she was 6 months old. It was really a big month of milestones for her so it should have been easy to come up with stuff but it was also a pretty busy month I guess. We took her to the doctor for her shots and she weighed 20 lbs and was 27 inches long.

When she was 6 months old she got her first two teeth! Yay and at the same time not yay. Her bottom middle teeth came in and that meant I had one pretty grumpy girl. I read a lot of articles and things about babies since that is my life/job now and I have read that some babies go through teething without really a problem. I don't know if I entirely believe that but I know without a fact that I don't have one of those babies lol.  She has a terrible time with teething, and I personally hate it. It disrupts her eating, and sleeping. I have decided that she is an excellent sleeper if she isn't teething. Right before she started she was sleeping all night. Most nights from 8:30pm or 9pm until 5am sometimes even 7am! Great sleeper, but then the teeth start to come in and she wakes up all night every couple of hours. Which as a newborn I just kind of became accustomed to, but once she spoiled me with a full nights sleep it was so hard to go back haha. Anyways those two finally broke through and we had maybe 3 or 4 weeks of a break yay!!!

Another milestone that she met was crawling. We went home for a visit one week and she was scooting kind of an army crawl the next week she was full blown crawling and now she is super fast. She actually crawled for the very first time on August 21st :)

Right after she learned to crawl, maybe two days after, she introduced us to a new trick....using furniture to pull herself up. That was a shock the first time I looked down and saw her right there in my lap lol. That is one of her favorite things to do now. She uses the couches, table legs, chairs, walls, the open dishwasher, dressers, her exersaucer, and my least favorite my legs. She doesn't like being in the exersaucer anymore but she still loves to play with the toys silly girl so she just stands next to it. That was pretty much the big stuff that happened while she was six months.

Now for this month. She is 7 months old and it is going by so fast I honestly never really imagined what she would be like after she turned 6 months because that felt SO far away. Now before I know it she'll be 2 years old, crazy.

1. So first of all she had a solid food strike this month. For some reason for about a week she wouldn't eat any solids which was so weird because she has loved pretty much everything we've fed her so far. It was really frustrating and I tried everything I could think of but nothing worked. Every meal was turning into a battle where she was crying and I was mad so I just decided to take a break. For a week I didn't set her down in the highchair and try to spoon feed her. I just fed her milk and then while I was cooking dinner or cleaning I let her sit in the highchair and feed herself which she was ok with. We have some of those mesh bags for fruits and veggies and so that's all she ate. After a week I tried some green beans and she ate the whole jar. I was so happy and relieved, I thought I was going to have a picky eater. She is still eating pretty good from a spoon, but I also let her feed herself more and she loves it. I have to keep my OCD in check though and not try to clean her up all the time lol she gets pretty messy and I am getting better at just letting her be messy :)

2. She is getting really good at crawling and cruising around along the furniture. I bet that she will be walking in a couple of months because she is so into everything and absolutely loves being mobile. She crawls all over the house just getting into everything. I love it and she is so cute the way she crawls!

3.She is getting her top two teeth now. I can see the right one as of yesterday so let's hope that means I can have my happy baby back.

9 Months Old

So I found this in my drafts because I apparently never got around to finishing and posting it. I don't want to lose it so I'll just post it even though this is not at all current lol.

Ainslee really keeps us on our toes that is for sure! She is getting to be such a handful, she is crazy, rambunctious, and such a sweetie. We love her so so much and even when she's making a mess she just smiles and you can't stay mad at her. She's growing up way too fast and I know I say that all the time but it is true. Some things that I have noticed about her lately.

1. She is so close to walking. She can stand by herself now, and the last couple of days she has started to go from crawling to standing so I know she has to be getting close. We try just about anything to get her to take a step but all she does so far is sit down lol.

2. Her new favorite food is strawberries. She LOVES them, she would eat a bucket full if I had that many. The other day I put them in some yogurt and she thought that was the absolute greatest thing in the entire world.

3. She is little miss independent. She insists on doing pretty much anything she can on her own. Mainly this comes out at meal times. She has to feed herself, I am lucky if I can get anything from a spoon into her mouth. Haha most of the time it just ends up on the floor because she is waving her arms and telling me quite loudly that she can do it. As frustrating as this is sometimes I am happy to see that she is growing up.

4. Pushing buttons is her favorite game. She has toys that sing when you hit the buttons and those are her favorite she just pushes them over and over. She pushes the buttons on the washer to hear the beeping, and she has a remote that has buttons she loves pushing those too. I think her favorite button to push though is the power button on Anthony's computer. He will be sitting on the couch doing homework and she sneeks over to him, crawls up by him, extends her pointer finger and then pushes the power button. It is the funniest thing, I told Anthony he better make sure he constantly saves his work just in case!

5. She is starting to be able to talk. She says Mama and Dada all the time, mostly Dada.

6. She loves her daddy sooo much! She will cry when he leaves for school

The Nature Park and My birthday

We went for a little walk through the nature park here in Rexburg. Ainslee was more fascinated with the people there than the ducks but oh well. I really wanted to take her to the park because next year we won't be here anymore. Also it was my birthday...yay! So here are some pictures from those two things.

Ainslee went down the slide for the very first time and she thought it was tons of fun

Chewing on the stroller
Lol Anthony and I could not get a good picture that day. Either I looked silly or he did!
Ice Cream cake from Dairy Queen courtesy of Kaycee and Krysten, it was super yummy!

The night before my birthday Anthony took me on a date to the Straw Maze just a little ways out of Rexburg. It was a blast! Kaycee came over and watched Ainslee so it was just the two of us which was really nice.

Anthony navigating the maze...and a patch of grass we passed a bazillion times lol. Anthony kept saying "I recognize that patch of grass!"

This shows some of the tunnels that were there. Anthony had to crawl through some of the tunnels. I didn't want to go in the tunnels because they were dark lol but Anthony convinced me and I'm so glad we did it was fun.
After an hour in the maze we made it out alive!

There were free hayrides until 7, of course we didn't get out until like 7:15

We also stopped to look at the elk farm which was really cool

Hopefully this video works we caught the bull bugling
Then we went to McDonalds and got hot chocolate and apple pies...well Anthony ended up with a pumpkin pie which was still pretty good he said
