Halloween and King Tut

So we had a really fun Halloween and we got to see King Tut's mummy! There are a ton of pictures in this post sorry about that :)

 

 

For our ward Halloween party we dresses up as a fisherman (woman lol) and a ref. We came up with these costumes about 5 minutes before the party we were so pretty impressed with ourselves.

Here he is getting all the guts out :) I know I married the right man because he just started getting the guts of mine cleaned out without even thinking twice. True love :)

 

This is my design, three cute pumpkins. I was worried it was going to be hard but it was actually not too bad.

And of course you can't carve a pumpkin without a power tool....well according to Anthony haha.

Instead of candles we used glow sticks which looked really cool.

Ok so I thought I should post a pregnant belly picture. I am 26 weeks here.

 

We went to the King Tut exhibit in Idaho Falls. It was pretty neat, only a few real artifacts but it was a really fun date :)

In the museum of Idaho there were also exhibits that were about Idaho. This was like a mini town with shops.

 

This was an old dentistry office. I thought it was really cool and so I had to get a picture :)

Hiking Table Rock

Well a few weekends ago we went on a hike to Table Rock. I have to say I wasn't expecting the kind of hike that it is, which is intense! It was 12 miles of craziness, but it was a very fun day. We left Rexburg at 5:30 in the morning and didn't get back until about 6:00 that night. We went with our bishop, the first counselor, and another couple from our ward. It was a ward activity but no one else was brave enough I guess, lol. It is an extremely difficult hike, straight uphill for 6 miles and by the time you get to go downhill your legs are so sore that it is painful to slow yourself down haha. We didn't actually make it to the top of table rock (which is 11,000 ft. high) because it started to snow when we got close. It was basically a blizzard, we could hardly see anything so we decided it was time to head back down. Luckily for me my husband is a hunter and knows what to bring on a mountain excursion so I was toasty warm and dry. The other sister with us was freezing I think so I'm grateful Anthony knows what he's doing. The bishop and his counselor were way far ahead of us and the other couple so they made it before the snow got bad. Even though it was exhausting, and that night I could barely move lol it was a really fun day. I got to spend it with Anthony who was really proud of me :) He said I would make a good pioneer woman, haha which was a compliment cause I was worried he was going to think I was a wimp. 

 

It was still dark when we started hiking.

 

We were maybe an hour in here.There was a really cool huge rock that looked over the trail so we had to stand on it and get a picture.

It may be bad but I thought it was sweet :) The L on my initials is hard to see in the picture,

but I loved it. So sweet.

 

Here is part of the up hill portion. It was really steep I don't know that this picture shows that, but I was exhausted.

This was getting closer to the top, and behind me is a huge drop off.

Anthony enjoyed finding big rocks and throwing them over the edge.

 

The fog was pretty bad at the top.

 

This was the downhill portion. It was kinda steep, not as steep as the hike up, but our legs hurt so bad it was hard to not run/fall down the hill.

 

That was where we were, clear up there in all that fog. The top is up there too but we didn't get there.

 

And we saw a moose! Anthony was very excited, I was honestly a little nervous. I asked Anthony what I should do if we saw one and it charged at us and he told me to run around a tree. Not very helpful advice since I had no idea what that really meant and there would have been no time for clarification if the situation came up. I guess that's what happens when you're married to a man of few words lol.

Big News!!!

We are so excited to announce that we'll be having a little girl in February! We had the ultrasound earlier this week and everything looks great. She is doing wonderful and is a very healthy little girl. Anthony's guess was of course boy and I couldn't settle on one way or the other so it was a surprise for both of us. I was a little worried about how Anthony was going to react, but being the wonderful man that he is, he's super excited. He couldn't wipe the smile off his face and the second we left the doctor's office he wanted to call everyone :). I had to drive home because he was talking on the phone, I was excited but it really made me happy to see how excited Anthony was. I can say I have loved being able to look at pink baby things and imagine buying them for our little girl. 

 

According to the doctor her heart looks great, her brain is good, and all her organs seem to developing well. She is growing right on track, weighs 10 oz and that puts her in the 60th percentile. So here are a bunch of ultrasound pictures that may not look like anything, but we're so excited I just have to put them on here.

 

This is one where we got to hear her heartbeat. It was 152 beats

per minute which the tech said is perfect.

I love this one of her foot, I think it's just adorable!

you can see her calf and knee...kinda a hard one to make out.

Needless to say we are just so so excited. We got to watch her on the ultrasound for about 45 minutes because she was basically head down and folded in half. She would not move positions which made  it really hard to get some of the pictures they needed to get. We loved getting to see her for so long though and just can't wait to meet her in February!
