Big News!!!

We are so excited to announce that we'll be having a little girl in February! We had the ultrasound earlier this week and everything looks great. She is doing wonderful and is a very healthy little girl. Anthony's guess was of course boy and I couldn't settle on one way or the other so it was a surprise for both of us. I was a little worried about how Anthony was going to react, but being the wonderful man that he is, he's super excited. He couldn't wipe the smile off his face and the second we left the doctor's office he wanted to call everyone :). I had to drive home because he was talking on the phone, I was excited but it really made me happy to see how excited Anthony was. I can say I have loved being able to look at pink baby things and imagine buying them for our little girl.

According to the doctor her heart looks great, her brain is good, and all her organs seem to developing well. She is growing right on track, weighs 10 oz and that puts her in the 60th percentile. So here are a bunch of ultrasound pictures that may not look like anything, but we're so excited I just have to put them on here.

This is one where we got to hear her heartbeat. It was 152 beats
per minute which the tech said is perfect.

A profile shot of her face and her arm which is bent
and infront of her face.

Here are the pictures that proves she's a little girl.

Little face and brain :)

I love this one of her foot, I think it's just adorable!

This is another shot of her foot from the side. It is flexed and
you can see her calf and knee...kinda a hard one to make out.

Another shot of the bottom of the foot that is a little hard to see,
but it's right below the word "foot".

A face shot again. I have a feeling she is going to be
a cutie!

Here's a really good picture of the bottom of her other foot.

Here's her arm in front of her face.

And the other hand/arm which was behind her back.

This is one of my favorite face pictures.

Another couple of face shots :)

She was not in the best position for a 3D shot, but this is the one
we got. You can see her nose, lips, and eyes here.

This is one of her leg

Here is a much better shot of the leg.
She has some strong little muscles already.

And one last picture to comfirm the baby is a girl.

Needless to say we are just so so excited. We got to watch her on the ultrasound for about 45 minutes because she was basically head down and folded in half. She would not move positions which made  it really hard to get some of the pictures they needed to get. We loved getting to see her for so long though and just can't wait to meet her in February!

Graduation

Well I graduated from college this weekend. I still have to complete my student teaching before I can get a job, but no more going to class for me! It was such a great feeling to finish my classes. We had our convocation ceremony in one of the stake centers here in Rexburg because our group was pretty small (less than 100). It was only for education majors (Early childhood/Special education and Elementary Education). It was nice and not horribly long so that was good. My family was able to come up for the weekend; it was so great to see them. We got to go to dinner before graduation, that was awesome and so delicious. I was sad to see them go today, but I’ll get to see them again soon. Lacey walked in the same place so we were able to sit by each other and share the experience of graduating together J that made it perfect in my opinion. I have just a few weeks off until I start student teaching, so I plan to get my house organized and basically do very little of anything so I can fully enjoy my break. It was such a wonderful weekend, just so much fun!

Before the ceremony

Walking across the stage to get my "diploma". Really just a nice empty diploma holder lol.

Anthony was at the end to get a good picture :)
He is so proud of me

We did it!

A picture with the boys

We met Mandy and got a picture of the 3 of us.

The yummy cake my family brought for me

Nothing to do with graduation , but a fun little side note....
My cousin Cayla was visiting from California and she brought her pet pig, Stevie. Anthony tried so hard to get it to come to him and let him scratch his belly, and he succeeded! He was so excited, so I had to get a picture. The sound of the camera scared Stevie though and he ran away about two seconds after this picture lol.

4th of July!!!!

For the 4th we took a trip to Yellowstone! I had never been there and Anthony was so excited to take me, he’s been talking about it for weeks. We got to go with Lacey and John which was so much fun. I think we wore them out though, in fact we were all wore out. Poor Anthony was the only one who didn’t get a nap on the drive home. We saw some elk, and buffalo, but unfortunately no bears, although I don’t know that I really wanted to see one any way. We also got to see so many geysers! There were some really pretty ones. We also were able to see Old Faithful. We watched it go off not once but twice! It was such a fun day. We had a yummy little picnic at the Old Faithful area. Lacey and John introduced Anthony to Doritos on his sandwich and let’s just say he’s in love. He wants one all of the time now J After seeing Old Faithful and walking around all day we were pretty tired, but we still had enough energy to walk around West Yellowstone and to get some huckleberry ice cream.

The first animal we saw that day. A little elk.

This buffalo was just off the road!

Mud Pot

This one looked like a rainbow, but
you can't really tell from the picture.

We're waiting to see Old Faithful go off.
We got there at just about the right time.

Old Faithful

Anthony found a funny hat at one of the stores

This is the Old Faithful Lodge. It is huge!

Later that night we headed to Idaho Falls to watch the fireworks. They have a really good show. I went a couple of years ago and it wasn’t that great. I was watching it from quite a ways away though. To say the least this year was much better. We put our little blankets down, ate some snacks and had a great time. I love fireworks and these are definitely worth the drive to Idaho Falls. We were so happy that Lacey and John were able to come with us, it was a great 4th of July!

Waiting for the fireworks to start

Lacey and John. I thought this was such a
good picture of them.

Fireworks!!!

Great picture :)
